AMD has announced the Ryzen Threadripper PRO 5995wx, a processor that will be available for purchase in August. The new processor is expected to have 16 cores and 32 threads.

The Ryzen Threadripper PRO 5995WX, a processor with 64 cores and 128 threads and a boost/base clock of Up to 4.5/2.7 GHz, is the star of the new offerings, which take use of the more recent Zen 3 architecture. The Ryzen Threadripper PRO 5000 WX-Series is now only offered on ThinkStation P620 computers, which is terrible news for Threadripper aficionados who loathe Lenovo.
