Activision has published a new live-action teaser trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, giving fans another look at what Captain Price, Ghost, and the rest of Task Force 141 are up to in the highly anticipated sequel to Infinity Ward’s 2019 blockbuster. “The ultimate weapon is team,” Activision stated in the teaser trailer’s description, confirming that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will be revealed globally next Wednesday, June 8. Complementing the trailer is a new article on the official Call of Duty site with a statement from Joel Emslie, Studio Art Director, who has promised that Modern Warfare II will be one of the most “ambitious, beautiful, bombastic, melt your face off game Infinity Ward has ever created.”
“In terms of what we intend to provide to our fans, Modern Warfare II is a tremendously ambitious title,” Stephanie Snowden, Director of Communications, stated. “It speaks to the type of skill we have at the company that we were able to build this game in a hybrid environment during the epidemic.”
Nobody can tell what will happen in the future.
Whether it was the game’s pioneering ideas from Modern Warfare and Warzone – or something else entirely –
With Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare – or the debut of Create a Class and never-before-seen Multiplayer progression systems with Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare – or the debut of Create a Class and never-before-seen Multiplayer progression systems with Call of Duty 4: Modern
Or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s introduction of Custom Multiplayer Killstreaks and Special Ops in 2009 –
For Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 – the introduction of Kill Confirmed and the legacy of the Call of Duty XP event –
Nobody could have predicted that all of this – and more – would be such an important element of Call of Duty’s current popularity.
But we can assure you that Infinity Ward – as well as everyone else at Activision and its studios throughout the world – is ready to usher in a new era for Call of Duty. And we can’t wait to tell you all about it.
