With the release of Gnar in League of Legends, he has proven to be one of the most popular and sought after champions on the rift. He’s so good that players are investing hundreds (and sometimes thousands) into unlocking him for themselves as well as others. This list is meant to provide a compilation all his skins ranked from worst to best, with some additional commentary about why each skin ranks where it does.

In League of Legends, the nicest thing about morphing characters is that you practically get two skins for the price of one.
Gnar, in particular, benefits from this, since his Mega and Micro forms generally have two entirely different styles.
But which Gnar skin is the greatest out of all of them?
That’s what I’ll attempt to figure out when I rate all of his skins from worst to greatest, taking into account their individual attributes, general attractiveness, and pricing.

Right from the bat, a word of caution:
Gnar doesn’t have any awful skins, thus this is a nitpicky rating.
Despite the fact that this is an E-sports skin, it avoids the frequent trap of basing the whole skin on team flares and the like. The team is mentioned briefly in the background animation, as you either munch bananas or slurp spaghetti from the World Cup cup, but that’s all.
The character model is reminiscent of a Bengal tiger, and I have to admit, Riot nailed the Mega Gnar form.
Having said that, I think the basic shape is perfectly fine.
He certainly have a charming appearance, but it isn’t over the top. In addition, his boomerang isn’t all that fascinating in this skin, which decreases my grade significantly.
Also, there’s another Gnar skin that has a similar feel but is less expensive, so I’d seldom choose this one.

Maybe it’s because this is a release skin, but Dino Gnar has grown on me.
Don’t get me wrong: it has several fantastic features and is a terrific value for the money.
However, I am no longer as enthusiastic about it.
If you ask me, the basic model here is trying much too hard to be adorable. The Mega Gnar form, on the other hand, more than makes up for it.
In terms of new animations, both backing animations are excellent, the Mega Gnar Q is entertaining as you throw structures at people, and the transition from one form to another is one of the most spectacular.
Overall, this skin is a solid performer. However, it does not elicit the same level of excitement in me as the majority of the others, thus it must fall lower on my list.
6. Gnar El Leon

On June 1st, 2016, the film was released. The cost is 750 RP.
This is without a doubt Gnar’s most cost-effective option. It’s just 750 RP, but it’s still a lot of labor.
The standard character model is essentially how Rey Mysterio was portrayed in the past, however your Mega form transforms you into a full-fledged lion.
But, joking aside, the Mega Gnar design on this skin is fantastic.
There are no new background animations in this game, but you do get to hurl pipes at people, which is just as essential in life.
El Leon Gnar isn’t the kind of skin that will utterly take your breath away. But it does what it’s supposed to do, and it does it well for a cheap price. As a result, it’ll undoubtedly be ideal for someone.

The 16th of October, 2017 was the date of publication. 1350 RP is the price.
Gnar fans enjoy Super Galaxy Gnar for a variety of reasons. Here are a few of them:
- The whole skin is a tribute to Gurren Lagann.
- The splash art is just fantastic.
- Any dad joke fan will be delighted with the moniker “Mecha Gnar.”
- Last but not least, who doesn’t like robots?
You also shoot people with firearms, which is so on-character that it’s great.
After all of this, why isn’t this skin higher up?
Because the character models just aren’t cutting it for me.
Base Gnar seems to be a dressed-up version of standard Gnar. Mecha Gnar, on the other hand, seems to be a generic huge robot.
The sound effects, on the other hand, are excellent, and the Q animations for both forms are crisp.
But I like my Mega Gnars to be unique and natural.
Overall, I like the concept of this skin. And I’ll never say anything negative about anime allusions.
However, the skins that follow in our rating do a somewhat better job with character models.
4. Gnar Gnar Gnar Gnar Gnar Gnar

The 14th of July, 2015, was the date of publication. The price is 975 RP.
This is one of the most swaggering skins in the game, and it’s impossible not to like it.
You seem to be a pristine little lad one minute and a terrifying picture of capitalism the next.
Your auto-attacks are canes, and your Q is a pocket watch in your basic form.
And if that wasn’t enough, Mega Gnar tosses Big Bens about merely to show off how powerful his time-telling abilities have become.
When it comes to the background animations, I can’t decide which one I like. Because your basic form requires you to bite on your pocket watch, but your Mega form requires you to adopt a solemn stance before collapsing like a bag of potatoes.
Gentleman Gnar is absolute gold when it comes to goof skins.
However, there are a couple better alternatives if you want to seem consistently stylish.

On the 10th of December, 2015, the film was released. The price is 975 RP.
Given that Gnar’s legend claims he was frozen in ice for millennia, this skin may easily be mistaken for his default.
Sure, your basic form is dressed in contemporary garb and wields an icepick. But let’s leave logic out of this.
Snow Day Gnar, on the other hand, adds a lot of value to the table by putting ice particles on your transformed W, E, ult, and even when your passive fills up.
This contributes to the design’s realism, making it less shocking when you start flinging frozen penguins in your Mega form.
The character model design for your Mega form is the right combination of menacing and charming. I want to call him a nice kid while still staying as far away as possible.
Many gamers have appreciated this skin for its basic but clean design and the impression of being an Ice Age figure who has been rejected. As a result, I’ll go with the flow.
2. Gnar, the Astronaut

I’ll be honest with you and say that basic Gnar could have been a PNG of a squirrel and this skin would still be my second favorite solely because of Mega Gnar.
It’s clear that the designers had a lot of fun with this one. And it’s incredible because it mixes aspects of the classic Gnar, the standard extraterrestrial stereotype, and a mushroom hallucination.
Gnar can fling satellites at people, consume aliens and whole ships (depending on your form), and throw space boomerangs at humans, among other things.
But Mega Gnar is the one I care about the most.
Although, in terms of sales pitches, I’d say the sound design comes in second, since the ability sound effects combined with the new voice filter make for an intriguing experience.
1. Elderwood Gnarrrrrrrrrrrrrr

On January 6th, 2022, the film will be released. 1350 RP is the price.
This was hardly a competition in my mind. Because I’m a huge fan of skins that keep monster characters looking like monsters.
There are no expensive outfits or pajamas on this mythical woodland guardian!
I can’t emphasize how fantastic the character models are here, with the basic form using a vibrant color palette and a bone mask to create something simply spectacular.
Then there’s your Mega Gnar form, which looks like it belongs in Shadow of the Colossus.
How could you possible pass up the opportunity to give Riot money for this design?
That’s not to mention the fact that Elderwood Gnar includes some absolutely stunning new animations and particles, all of which are druid-inspired and equally lovely and intriguing.
I could go on and on about how amazing this skin is, but I’ll stop myself and just say it: if you ask me, this is the greatest Gnar skin out there.
