NVIDIA is planning to release a new graphics card, called GeForce GTX 1630, in the low-end market. The company plans on releasing this GPU by mid-2019, as AMD’s RX 6500 XT and Radeon RX 6400 are selling well in that segment.
The “AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT and Radeon RX 6400” is a low-end graphics card from NVIDIA. The company is planning to release the GeForce GTX 1630 Graphics Card to counter AMD’s latest GPUs in the low-end GPU market.

NVIDIA is apparently preparing to add a new GeForce GTX 1630 model to its current GeForce GTX 16 Series graphics card portfolio. As the name implies, this new model is projected to be less powerful than the existing GeForce GTX alternatives (e.g., GTX 1660 Ti, GTX 1650 SUPER), but it should be a welcome addition for gamers looking for a budget-friendly system. According to a chart shared by red team’s Frank Azor yesterday, NVIDIA is introducing a GeForce GTX 1630 to counter AMD’s current strength in the lower-end GPU market with its Radeon RX 6500 XT and Radeon RX 6400 graphics cards, which are particularly notable in the performance-per-dollar department. According to AMD, the Radeon RX 6400 delivers 89 percent more frames per dollar and 123 percent more frames per watt than the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti.
As a long-time player, I appreciate the revived competition in high-end graphics since it benefits us all. I’m really pleased of what our @Radeon team has done as a @AMD employee. #gamingpc pic.twitter.com/6Rs9kjG9UD

According to our sources, the GeForce GTX 1630 will replace the GTX 1050 Ti, therefore it will likely cost less than 190 USD (the GTX 1650’s current pricing). The GTX 1630’s specifications are still unclear, however it is likely to be a TU117 (Turing) model with a low 75W power needs and upgraded GDDR6 memory. There are now five variants in the GTX 1650 series, including TU106, TU116, TU117, and even a SUPER variation. However, not all of these cards are accessible in every region, and the GTX 1630 may be no exception.
